According to the public relations office of the university, Dr. Jalal Rezaei-Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, during his visit to the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) unit in Qom province and the IRNA news agency on the occasion of Journalist Day, stated: "Media professionals are the flag bearers of truth and awareness in society, especially the ISNA news agency, which, given its student-oriented approach, can be a supportive arm for us at the university." He pointed out the interaction and connection of industry professionals with Qom University of Technology, noting: "The demand for computer and polymer majors in industrial units is higher." The president of Qom University of Technology continued: "For the first time in the Metallurgy Engineering field, considering the needs of the province's industry and with the assistance of the Ministry of Science, we will start enrolling students from Moharram." He emphasized: "In 1399 (2020), we received permission to enroll international students, and today over 150 students from five nationalities are studying at Qom University of Technology." The president noted that there are 77 faculty members at Qom University of Technology and clarified: "Students are enrolled in 28 majors, including 9 undergraduate programs, 17 master's programs, and 2 doctoral programs." He also announced that due to the recent scientific and research advancements at this university, the international quarterly journal 'Mathematics and Computational Sciences' of Qom University of Technology has been included in the Scopus citation database. He remarked: "The International Journal of Mathematics and Computational Sciences (MCS) is an open-access journal aimed at presenting the latest scientific and research achievements in the fields of mathematics and computational sciences. This journal has previously been indexed in DOAJ, ISC, and the Ministry of Science's list of scientific journals, boasting an international editorial board. Additionally, this quarterly publishes articles in the fields of mathematical and computational sciences, mathematical physics, computational chemistry, and mechanics after peer review and acceptance." Dr. Rezaei-Noor, with regard to the establishment of the Al-Masoumeh Al-Karimah pavilion for the students of Qom province, stated: "This pavilion will host 1,500 pilgrims daily, seven days before and three days after Arbaeen. The Al-Masoumeh Al-Karimah pavilion for the university community of Qom province is located in the holy city of Karbala, Shahid Street, Tariq Al-Hur, and the Hosseiniyah of Sayyid Al-Asfar." He added: "In this pavilion, in addition to accommodation, catering, and health services, cultural services will also be provided in a special manner. Among the cultural programs of this pavilion are Q&A sessions, face-to-face outreach, and recitations related to Arbaeen, among others." The president of Qom University of Technology concluded by appreciating the efforts of journalists who bring joy and hope to the community through the dissemination of university news.
