According to the Public Relations Office of the University: Concurrent with the ninth day of the blessed Fajr decade, the Board of Trustees and staff of Qom University of Technology met with the esteemed religious authority of the Islamic world, Grand Ayatollah Ali Alavi Gorgani (may his blessings be prolonged).
At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Khoshnavisan, the President of Qom University of Technology, presented a report on the current status of this university, particularly focusing on its cultural and religious programs aimed at familiarizing students from across the country with the spiritual atmosphere of the holy city of Qom, the sacred shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (peace be upon her), and the sacred Jamkaran Mosque.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Alavi Gorgani also stated that, given the proximity of Qom University of Technology to the seminary, he hopes for a dignified and worthy connection to be established between these students and the seminarians, enabling them to benefit from each other's religious virtues and scientific merits.
He added, the responsibility of Qom University of Technology is greater due to its proximity to the shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (peace be upon her) and the seminary, and our expectations from this university are correspondingly higher.
Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani emphasized that clergy and students in Qom are in communication with each other, stating: The expectations of the people from us are greater due to our location in this holy city, and we must pay attention to that.
He continued: Attention to the Quran in universities is essential because the Quran serves as a great guide for all matters and all individuals, safeguarding those who seek refuge in it from falling into misguidance and darkness.
This religious authority reflected on the situation of the country during the reign of the Shah and said: Before the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran was a land of oppression, the country was under the domination of foreigners, and national treasures were being plundered.

He continued: Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, foreign influences have been curtailed, and currently, Iran is recognized as a powerful system on the global stage, and all of this is due to divine grace.
Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani considered elections to belong to all people and stated: In the elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Assembly of Experts, we must stand together and set aside our preferences for specific parties to demonstrate unity and solidarity among ourselves to our adversaries.
He referenced the statements of the Supreme Leader, adding: Maximum participation in elections is among his requests, which we hope will be realized, God willing.
This religious authority deemed it essential to turn to the Quran, noting: In this sacred book, there are numerous references to the allure of the world in the eyes of humanity, intended to protect individuals from misguidance and falling into sin.
He added: We are undergoing tests at every stage of life, and the guidance of the Quran is necessary and vital for achieving success in these tests.
Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani pointed out that the essence of actions is not visible, stating: The presence of a veil and curtain prevents the essence of actions from being seen, and if this veil did not exist, many would turn away from sin.
