According to the public relations office of the university: A course on energy consumption optimization was held thanks to Qom Industrial University and the Provincial Oil Products Distribution Company, with the presence of Engineer Farshad Khoshnavisan, the head of the Investment Attraction and Support Office of the Governor's Office, along with managers from the province's executive agencies, in the Shahid Akhoundi Conference Hall of Qom Industrial University.
In this course, Dr. Fadaei, the Vice President for Educational and Research Affairs of Qom Industrial University, expressed condolences for the loss of a number of our dear compatriots in the heartbreaking earthquake in the west of the country and provided explanations about the establishment of the university and its recent advancements, including the increase in the number of programs, students, and faculty members.

He added: Currently, Qom Industrial University serves as the secretariat of the province's nanotechnology and connects the province's industry with the university. However, with the universities becoming mission-oriented, this university has taken on a critical role in promoting green industry and optimizing fuel consumption.
The Vice President for Educational and Research Affairs of Qom Industrial University emphasized that, given the acceptance of students in the energy engineering program and the presence of experienced professors in this field, the university, through collaboration and synergy with other executive agencies, can undoubtedly take significant steps in energy consumption optimization, and holding this course is an excellent start in this regard. Engineer Khoshnavisan then provided explanations about the importance of optimal energy consumption in the country. He stated: According to announced statistics, the energy consumption intensity globally is 1.8 percent, in Europe 1 percent, and unfortunately in Iran, it stands at 6 percent, which is very concerning and thought-provoking.

The head of the Investment Attraction and Support Office of the Governor's Office added: Given the reliance on non-renewable fuels in Iran, green management and the use of renewable fuels are national priorities, which cannot be achieved without the participation and cooperation of all citizens, especially the executive agencies.
He further stated: In light of the energy consumption crisis in the country, 20 percent of the energy consumed by executive agencies should come from solar energy.
