According to the public relations office of the university, during a meeting attended by officials from Qom Industrial University and the Karimeh Research and Technology Fund of Qom Province, initial discussions were held to develop scientific and research activities between these two organizations. In this meeting, Dr. Rezaei Noor, referring to the opening of the university's growth center, which is considered part of the Science and Technology Park of Qom Province, stated: Qom Industrial University has created a suitable environment for students and professors by launching the innovation center and the growth center. He added: Currently, 18 technology teams are active in the Fakhra Innovation Center, and they have achieved very good results. In this context, the Karimeh Research and Technology Fund can accelerate the progress of these teams through its financial support. Dr. Rouhani, President of the Karimeh Research and Technology Fund of Qom Province, said: This fund received its operational license from the working group on Research and Technology Funds in February 2015, according to Article 100 of the Third Economic, Social, and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Karimeh Fund has been active to create opportunities for private sector participation and investment, to provide quantitative and qualitative support for research, applied, and developmental activities, as well as to offer special and unique financial services to specialized entrepreneurs and technology-based, innovative, and knowledge-based businesses. The head of the Karimeh Research and Technology Fund of Qom Province added: Given the mission of Qom Industrial University and that this university is a shareholder of the Karimeh Research and Technology Fund of Qom Province, it can serve as an auxiliary arm for the researchers and technologists of this university. This fund assesses the submitted projects and examines criteria such as the maturity level of the activity area, the capability of the executive team, sales volume, project market size, duration of execution or production, financial indicators of the project, etc., to determine the level of its financial support. Engineer Rahmati, a member of the Fakhra team based at Qom Industrial University’s innovation center, also presented a report on the team’s performance. He stated: The Fakhra team serves as a locally designed and registered accelerator and facilitator model. Initially, the Fakhra team identifies the research and technological needs of the country and establishes research teams to address them. He added: The aim of the Fakhra collection is to create and sustain small knowledge-based business teams. Although this team has been added to Qom Industrial University for about two years, it has brought several capable teams that have also registered their knowledge-based companies. At the end, Dr. Rouhani visited the Fakhra Innovation Center and the (ACSL) laboratory of Qom Industrial University.
