According to the Public Relations Office of the University: The celebration of the Greatness of Wilayat on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir Khumm was held on Sunday, 93/7/20, with the presence of the Board of Directors, professors, staff, and students, organized by the Cultural Management in the auditorium of Martyr Akhoundi.
At the beginning of this ceremony, Dr. Akhoundi, the university's caretaker, announced the approval for enrolling students in the master's degree program through virtual courses and added: with the delivery of university land, diligent follow-ups for securing construction funds, and the admission of students in virtual courses, the university is undergoing a growth trajectory.
Additionally, he referred to the recent events in the Middle East, including the unrest in Syria, the inhumane activities of the ISIS group, and the atrocities committed against children in Gaza, and stated that Iran's distinguishing feature is the guardianship of the jurist (Wilayat-e Faqih), emphasizing: the stability and tranquility of Iran is due to the guardianship of the jurist, which is, in a sense, a continuation of the movements of the prophets and saints. Western governments are fully aware of this fact and attempted to target the guardianship of the jurist during the unrest of the year 1388, which fortunately faced defeat due to the wise leadership of our esteemed leader and the insight of the people.
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Dr. Omidian, the cultural manager, also cited hadiths and narratives about the Ghadir event, considering the annual observances of this day as a homage to the Ghadir event and expressed: On this great day, the Prophet Muhammad said: "O people present, convey the message of Ghadir to those absent." Today, it is our duty to be the guardians of leadership and authority by reminding ourselves of this event. Additionally, he prayed for all Muslims around the world, asking God Almighty for the appearance of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and the health of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be blessed).
In continuation, Muhammad Abdulghayoom, a Bangladeshi cleric, recognized the behavior and demeanor of Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace) as the reason for his conversion to Shia Islam and said: Imam Khomeini had influenced the hearts of many Bangladeshis so profoundly that on the day of his passing, his followers in Bangladesh held memorial ceremonies and discussed his behavior and ideology in various events.
The celebration of the Greatness of Wilayat continued with chanting, poetry reading, and live music until 4 PM.
