According to the public relations of the university, the seminar "Freedom of Expression: Yes or No" was held on Saturday, January 2, 2013, in the amphitheater of the university, with the presence of Dr. Moshkooh Al-Sadat, the esteemed president of the university, and Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri Abivaneh, the former ambassador of Iran to Mexico and Australia, organized by the student Basij.
In this seminar, Dr. Ghadiri expressed his gratitude to Dr. Moshkooh Al-Sadat for her unwavering support of student activities and discussed topics such as freedom of expression in the West. He stated, "In the West, the main rulers are the capitalists. It is these capitalists who form political parties and, by supporting them, determine the policy of a society. In the West, capitalists, by creating a sense of freedom, wealth, and security, claim to advocate for democracy."
He referenced the story of the Agnelli family, one of the largest capitalist families in the West, and the biography of Eduardo Agnelli, who was disowned by his family due to his conversion to Islam and suspiciously died a martyr. He said, "Because the media is under the control of the capitalists, they were forced to censor news about Eduardo's martyrdom, and no one had the right to protest or inquire about him, and this is freedom of expression in the West."
He continued by discussing women’s attire, stating, "The nudity of Western women causes them discomfort and unrest. The freedom of Iranian women, with Islamic attire, cannot be compared to that of Western naked women. He considered one of the factors for the advancement of Iranian women in various scientific, cultural, and artistic fields to be the value placed on women in society."
This seminar, which was very well received by the students, ended at 5 PM.
