Held at Qom University of Technology with the presence of Dr. Iraj Hashemi.

According to the university's public relations, the second session of the Engineering Path series was held at Qom Industrial University with the presence of Dr. Iraj Hesabi, the son of Dr. Mahmoud Hesabi. In this session, Dr. Rezaei Noor, the President of Qom Industrial University, discussed the importance of engineering disciplines in the country and added: Today, Islamic Iran must be technologically stronger than yesterday, and this can only be achieved with capable and efficient engineers. He stated: Considering that some experimental science disciplines offer better income opportunities, interest in technical and engineering fields has significantly decreased in recent years, which is a weakness that needs to be addressed. The president of Qom Industrial University said: If this trend is not corrected, in the coming years, engineers from other countries will need to come and run our industry. Today, the industry demands knowledgeable and efficient engineers. Dr. Iraj Hesabi shared memories about his father. He said: The role of women in the family is so crucial that my father always said: Two women played essential and key roles in my life, one being my wife and the other my mother. He added: My mother’s support enabled Dr. Hesabi to endure hardships; for instance, there was a time when life was so tough for us that we had to filter water through a sock before drinking it to make it potable. Dr. Iraj Hesabi mentioned: My father always showed particular respect for my mother to the extent that before sending us to French and English language classes, he first taught my mother English and French so that she would be ahead of us academically. Dr. Iraj Hesabi discussed his father's scientific contributions in Iran, saying: The first technical and specialized mapping of the country (the road from Bandar Lengeh to Bushehr), the founding of Iran’s first nomadic schools, the establishment of the Higher Teacher Training College (Teacher's Training Center), construction of the first radio in the country, launching the first radiology device in Iran, and calculating and determining Iran's official time are part of Dr. Hesabi’s enduring and impactful contributions in Iran.
