In this meeting, Dr. Rezaei Noor discussed the importance of technical and engineering fields in society. He added: today, the industry needs skilled and efficient engineers. Considering that the fourth-generation universities are entrepreneurial universities, the mission of Qom University of Technology is also entrepreneurship and industrial growth. Qom University of Technology, with the presence of a development center that is a subsidiary of the Science and Technology Park of the province, provides all the advantages of the park to students and researchers. Moreover, the Research Center for Revival and the Innovation Center, where dozens of technology-focused teams are active, have created a suitable environment for students to implement their innovative ideas. This way, students can start small businesses after graduation and become industrial owners. The General Director of Industry, Mine and Trade appreciated the efforts of the officials at Qom University of Technology regarding the interaction between industry and university and said: very good and effective activities have been conducted at Qom University of Technology to familiarize students with industries and facilitate their entrance into the market. He added: today, a very suitable environment has been created for engineering students, and our industries, especially in Qom, are in great need of efficient engineers. Dr. Abdali added: the holy city of Qom has become one of the industrial hubs and houses important companies and factories engaged in exports. Dr. Abdali stated: given that I am very much in contact with industrialists, I see that every few months a new product and a new change and innovation are being created in factories, which indicates the efforts and endeavors of industrialists in the province. In Qom Province, there are small workshops that are now exporters of industrial machinery to America, Russia, and the Gulf countries. Furthermore, the industry in the province and the country is currently facing numerous challenges that must be addressed by engineers like you. For instance, in Qom Province, we have 2,500 industrial units that are operational in various fields. One of their primary issues is energy imbalance, especially in electricity. He added: in the past, industrialists did not invest in productivity, but today they consider energy efficiency as one of the significant factors for their industrial growth. He continued: additionally, another challenge for industries is air pollution, which engineers must devise solutions for. The General Director of Industry, Mine and Trade of Qom Province stated: if today's students do not study for several hours a day in new sciences, including artificial intelligence, they cannot contribute to industrial growth. Dr. Sheikh Bahai, a successful entrepreneur, provided explanations regarding marketing, e-commerce, international markets, and launching commercial companies.
