The commencement of the wastewater treatment plant project at Qom University of Technology.

The Administrative and Financial Deputy of the university announced the initiation of a study project for establishing a wastewater treatment plant at Qom University of Technology with a capacity of 50 cubic meters.

Dr. Al Omrani Nejad stated:  This project, which began in the summer of this year, is currently in the execution phase and is expected to be operational by the end of the current year.

He added: Upon completion of this project, in addition to the principled management of wastewater within the university, which has been a 15-year issue for this institution, an average of 35 cubic meters of wastewater will be treated daily, resulting in a 70% reduction in water consumption through its use for irrigation and the expansion of green spaces.

The Administrative and Financial Deputy of the university highlighted that the costs for this project have been provided from the budget allocated for repairs and equipment, as well as from the budget for capital assets and essential repairs. The remaining funding is expected to come from the Organization for Planning and Budget and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
