The twenty-seventh annual National Student Competition of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) _Iran Branch and the Concrete and Earthquake Conference of the Iran Concrete Research Center took place on December 25 and 26, 2024.
According to the public relations office of Qom University of Technology: In this competition, the Mahid team, representing the Faculty of Technical and Engineering at Qom University of Technology, achieved first place in the Concrete Art category. It is noteworthy that this competition is held in eleven categories including Concrete Art, Concrete Egg Protection Structures, Concrete Bowling Balls, Porous Concrete, Mortar Workability, Concrete Cubes, Environmentally Friendly Concrete, Paper Bridge Design and Construction, Concrete Solutions, Bridges Constructed with 3D Printers, and Constructions, in which the university's student group participated in the Concrete Art category. The project of this university's student group for participation in these competitions involved creating an element using clear concrete. This element comprises a symbol of the Baba Tahir shrine and a circular panel with a diameter of 72 centimeters, on which a verse from the poetry of Hafez is inscribed. While congratulating this achievement to the students, professors, and the relevant guiding staff of the Faculty of Technical and Engineering, we sincerely wish for further success for these dear ones in national and international arenas from the grace of the Almighty.
