According to the university's public relations, the Student Day ceremony was held with the presence of Engineer Behnam Jou, the governor of Qom, and representatives of student organizations in the province, at the invitation of the Islamic Community of Qom Industrial University in the Shahid Akhwandi Conference Hall of this university. In this event, Engineer Behnam Jou, while congratulating everyone on this day, stated: "Student Day is a day for our students to raise their voices against oppression and tyranny." He continued: "An important point that should be put on the agenda of government agencies today is the matter of paying attention to students." The governor of Qom emphasized: "The Qom Metro only needs carriages, and the government will also strive to import the contracted Chinese carriages as soon as possible." Behnam Jou further mentioned: "These days, employment has become a significant issue for students; according to the statistics I have, about 80% of students from Qom Industrial University enter the job market in the country after graduation." The representative of the government in Qom province regarding the monorail said: "We have hired a consultant for this project to find the best solution for executing the monorail project in Qom. We will strive to clarify the status of this project before the end of the year." At the Student Day ceremony, Seyed Hossein Olavi, the secretary of the Islamic Students Community of Qom Industrial University, pointed to issues such as the chaotic state of the Qom monorail, the uncertainty surrounding national housing, the student dormitory at Qom Industrial University, and the allocation of appropriate and dignified funding for the only industrial university in the province. Dehghani, representing the Islamic Association of Qom University, also raised issues concerning urban and inter-city transport, the uncertainty of Qom Airport, and the environmental problems of the province. Hasani, the representative of the Islamic Community of Qom University, regarded entrepreneurship, lack of support for knowledge-based companies, and disregard for the international sector of Qom province as part of the province's issues. Ahmadinejad, the secretary of the scientific associations at Qom Industrial University, highlighted the lack of educational and research funding for the university, the absence of suitable research infrastructure, and the need for special attention to this university. Farahian, the secretary of the Islamic Association of Qom Industrial University, also called for an increase in funding to develop this international university, referring to employment statistics and the cultural achievements of this university. Mohammad Shams, the head of the student Basij at Qom Industrial University, considered the construction of a student dormitory and the expansion of physical facilities at Qom Industrial University as primary demands of the students of this university. The questioning of students to the governor and the inauguration of the university's gaming room were among the other sections of the Student Day ceremony at Qom Industrial University.
