August 17 marks the memorial of the martyrdom of our valiant and noble journalist, Shahid Mahmoud Sarami, who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, at the hands of the Taliban.
August 17 is a day for the soldiers who contribute to awareness and understanding among the people, helping shape their beliefs and convictions. With their pen, they protect national interests, community ethics, and the welfare of their people and country like a fierce weapon.
I feel it is necessary, on behalf of the academic community of Qom Industrial University, to express gratitude and appreciation for the tireless efforts of all courageous and indefatigable journalists in the province, especially those active in the fields of science, culture, and research.
