According to the university's public relations: The Safety, Health, and Environmental System Council for the laboratories and workshops of Qom University of Technology will be established and operational.
Dr. Malatagi, head of the central laboratory and secretary of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Council of Qom University of Technology, stated that the goal of establishing this council is to ensure the safety and health of students and university personnel, to provide appropriate guidelines for environmental preservation, to implement eco-friendly technologies, and to investigate destructive factors and environmental pollutants.
He added: Policy-making, drafting and approving guidelines, standards, and related programs, conducting research activities to prevent potential hazards arising from various experiments, organizing exhibitions, and executing relevant courses and workshops for university personnel, planning and coordinating with international organizations to obtain valid certifications in the field of HSE, and equipping the university with suitable systems related to HSE are among the activities of this council.
The head of the university's central laboratory said: With the formation of this council, we will witness an enhancement in safety, health, and environmental standards. Conducting diverse research activities and efforts to prevent and mitigate potential hazards arising from various physical, chemical, and biological experiments, as well as maintaining the health and safety of individuals and the environment through the application of scientific methods and necessary standards at both national and international levels within the university, are among the responsibilities of this council.
It is noteworthy that Qom University of Technology has 30 independent spaces and over fifty laboratory and workshop items, with the Safety, Health, and Environmental System being one of the most significant operational events in the scientific management of the laboratory and workshop collection.
