According to the university's public relations: Considering the tireless efforts of the officials at Qom Industrial University in addressing the problems and well-being of students, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president, along with other officials, visited the female student dormitory, Farhang.
During this visit, Dr. Rezaei Nour pointed out the improvement of university facilities, including an increase of 530 square meters of educational space, the expansion of the Shahid Mashkouteh Sadat Library, the establishment of the Shahid Shahriari Sports Hall covering an area of 450 square meters, the equipping of laboratories and workshops, etc. He stated: "The academic community of Qom Industrial University should act like family members, standing together to achieve the comprehensive advancement of the university."
Students continued by expressing their gratitude for the relentless efforts of the officials, especially Dr. Rezaei Nour, in diligently addressing student issues and improving welfare and educational facilities, as well as for the frequent visits to student dormitories.
The students of the Farhang female dormitory called for an increase in internet bandwidth, a stable internet connection, the availability of computer facilities, improved hygiene in the dormitory, and enhanced sports amenities.
Additionally, students requested diversity in religious and recreational student excursions, the holding of specialized training courses for each field, improved laboratory facilities, diverse food options, an expansion of the physical space of the dining hall, a reduction in university publication prices, and the activation of scientific student societies and the student union.
The president of Qom Industrial University expressed gratitude for the students' appreciation and constructive criticism, stating that internet-related issues would be resolved promptly following an examination and testing of stability and speed. He also mentioned that pest control would be conducted in the dormitory, and several computers would be transferred to meet the students' needs.
Dr. Rezaei Nour announced the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the university's laboratories and workshops and added: "With the acquisition of new, modern equipment, laboratories and workshops should be expanded. Accordingly, the laboratories near the cafeteria will be relocated, and the establishment of a free cafeteria will solve the shortage of dining hall space."
The president of Qom Industrial University highlighted the activation of the center for free and virtual training, stating: "This center operates as a supporting arm for scientific societies and is currently active, conducting a variety of courses at minimal costs through memoranda of understanding with scientific and research centers, including the provincial technical and vocational education organization."
He mentioned the role of the student union, saying: "Master's students should also actively engage in extracurricular activities and convey their requests, suggestions, and criticisms to the officials through the student union."
Dr. Rezaei Nour emphasized the establishment of an innovation center at the university, noting: "It is a matter of pride that Qom Industrial University is the only university in Region 4 with an innovation center aimed at supporting high-risk knowledge-based businesses."
He added: "So far, 12 innovative projects from faculty members have been approved, and this presents one of the best opportunities for students to enhance the university's research activities in collaboration with their professors. Furthermore, necessary follow-ups are ongoing to reduce the rates for publication services at the university."
Dr. Rezaei Nour stated: "Given the dynamic environment of Qom Industrial University, enhancing research can position this university among the leading universities of the country. Special attention has been devoted to research in our planning efforts. Increase in faculty grants, encouraging publications, and refining processes related to research are some steps taken to motivate and encourage faculty members toward research."
Finally, the president of Qom Industrial University stated: "If you study the path of national advancement, it is clear and evident that the main factor behind the progress of any country is its people. You dear students are the future builders of Islamic Iran; if the country provides free education for you, you should also take a step towards the country's progress to witness the comprehensive growth and flourishing of Islamic Iran."
