According to the public relations of the university: Dr. Gholami, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, stated during his visit to Qom University of Technology that mission-oriented approaches and future studies must be prioritized in higher education to transform the country's technologies.
Dr. Gholami, while visiting Qom University of Technology, emphasized that with the increasing number of universities and educational complexes, we must pay special attention to the quality of education. Of course, given the current conditions in the country, optimal use of government financial resources is necessary, and through the income generation of universities and government support, educational and research quality can be enhanced.
The Minister of Science addressed officials and professors at Qom University of Technology and said: Technological transformation is happening rapidly worldwide, to the extent that we should begin to monitor the ten-year horizon of science and technology starting today. For example, fields such as artificial intelligence and smart management will dominate the future. Our universities should not overlook this matter.
He added: University graduates should be entrepreneurs or employed. In this regard, the Ministry of Science has created an environment conducive to integrating academics into the job market by facilitating internships for students in industry and creating research opportunities for young professors in various industries.
The Minister of Science, Research and Technology, while discussing the development of higher education in the country, stated: Considering the importance of quality education, attracting foreign students is one of the Ministry's programs. Universities that meet the necessary criteria for accepting foreign students will receive support from the Ministry of Science to move towards internationalization.
He referenced the youth of the president of Qom University of Technology and remarked: Youthfulness has been heavily emphasized within the Ministry of Science, to the extent that in recent years, the average age of university presidents has decreased by 11 years.
Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, regarded higher education in the government of moderation and hope as distinguished, adding: In this period, we have witnessed structural reforms, the promotion of a mission-oriented culture and entrepreneurship among academics, as well as the creation of a calm atmosphere for student activities in universities.
Regarding the developing Qom industrial university, he said: Young and talented professors, as well as motivated young staff, distinguish this university from others.
He considered the establishment of Qom University of Technology among seven industrial parks in the province to be very strategic and stated: By creating coworking spaces and startup clubs, we support innovative ideas from professors, students, and researchers for the first time in the province.
He mentioned the signing of scientific and research cooperation agreements between the university and various centers: 80 percent of the students at Qom University of Technology have been able to join the job market through skill training during their studies.
