The first Mathematical Physics conference in Iran was held by Qom University of Technology.

According to the Public Relations Office of the University: The first Mathematical Physics Conference of Iran was held on Thursday, 95/8/13, with the presence of prominent foreign professors and a group of professors, researchers, and students from this field across the country, organized by Qom University of Technology.
The President of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Bahram Khoshnavisan, expressed his welcome to the attendees and stated: We hope that holding such conferences at the national level will continue and persist, as this conference plays a significant and effective role in the expansion of the intertwined branches of physics and mathematics at the national level.
Dr. Khoshnavisan emphasized the capabilities and scientific potential of Qom province in various fields, saying: This conference is the second national and scientific conference organized by Qom University of Technology in Qom province, and last year the second national conference on soil and foundation engineering was hosted by this university.
Dr. Khoshnavisan added: Given the proximity to the scientific hubs of the country—Isfahan and Tehran—Qom province has the capability to host such conferences which plays a significant role in elevating the knowledge level of the province.

Dr. Shahin Rouhani, president of the Iranian Physics Society, said: Mathematical physics refers to the development of mathematical methods for solving practical problems in physics. Mathematical physics involves using mathematics to address existing problems in physics and developing suitable mathematical methods for such practical issues and formulating physical theories. In fact, it is a branch of applied mathematics that deals with physical problems.
Moreover, the scientific secretary of the first Mathematical Physics Conference of Iran noted: 180 papers were submitted to the conference's secretariat, which were reviewed by the judges, and ultimately, 90 papers were selected for presentation at the conference.
Dr. Anousheh Latifi stated that due to time constraints, not all papers could be presented clearly at this conference, adding: We hope that this conference, which has received a warm welcome from thinkers in this field across the country, will continue further.
The scientific secretary of the first Mathematical Physics Conference of Iran added: Given the importance of the field of mathematical physics, efforts were made to present the scientific activities of distinguished professors in this field globally and prominent professors in Iran to active students and researchers in this discipline.
Dr. Latifi announced that researchers from across the country presented papers at this conference, stating: The top three papers from this conference will be published in a reputable scientific journal in Germany.
He added: In conjunction with this conference, a pilgrimage and sightseeing tour will be organized for the participants, who will visit the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masumeh (s) and the Jamkaran Mosque as well as historical sites in Qom such as the Yazdani Pana House and the Qom Carpet Bazaar.

During this one-day conference, Adel Rezaei Aghdam, Naghi Behzadi, Seyyed Alireza Ashrafi, Anousheh Latifi, and Sadegh Yari, professors and researchers from Iranian universities in the field of mathematical physics, along with Professor Francesco Calogero from the University of Rome, Italy, and Dr. Antonino Degaspiris from France, presented their papers on this subject in English.
