According to the university's public relations, Dr. Amoo Abedini, the educational deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, along with his advisors Dr. Alizadeh and Dr. Shiral, announced the implementation of an educational transformation plan during their visit to Qom Industrial University.
The educational deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology stated: Our academic institution must distance itself from the last 40 years. According to the second step statement of the Islamic Revolution by the Supreme Leader, student-centered and instructor-centered needs must be placed at the forefront of the educational system.
Dr. Amoo Abedini said: The implementation of this plan will ensure that the future technologies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are secured and that the independence of our dear country in the field of science and technology is preserved. Of course, we have a challenging path ahead, but the presence of talented and revolutionary youth will smooth out this path.
He added: With the transformation plan, our universities will become civilization-building universities whose motto is supporting the pillars of family. The educational deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology described Qom Industrial University as very young and creative, which is a golden opportunity for both the Ministry and the sacred city of Qom.
He pointed out the unique geographical conditions, the presence of scholars and experts, and the growing industries of Qom province, stating: The sacred city of Qom needs a powerful industrial university. However, Qom Industrial University has taken effective and positive steps for the growth of the province's industry under efficient management. For example, the industry helper project, which is an innovative initiative of this university, introduces students to the job market from the time of their studies, is very beneficial, and should be utilized and supported in the educational transformation plan.
He mentioned the growth of the shoe industry in Qom province and said: Approval for admitting students in the fields of bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on footwear and bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy Engineering at Qom Industrial University will be agreed upon so that the university can serve as a stronger support arm for the province's industry.
Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom Industrial University, while referring to the history of this university, said: Qom Industrial University is currently among the top 15 industrial universities in the country on its way to becoming a knowledge-based economy. The university's rank has improved by 10 places according to the (ISC) ranking, it has achieved first and ninth place in employment rates for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, respectively, as announced by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology's Industry Relations Office, received approval for the admission of international students, and has transformed into an international university, ranking 13th nationally in conducting skill enhancement courses for students are some of the university's achievements. He added: One of the most important factors in the progress and growth of this young university is the exceptional collaboration and solidarity among the authorities, professors, staff, and students. For instance, during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, the academic community of Qom Industrial University set up the Al-Ma'soumeh Al-Karimah tent in Karbala with cooperation and solidarity. Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam Dr. Ghobani Mobeen, the president of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at Qom Industrial University, welcomed everyone and added: The innovative and transformative vision that the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology has adopted is very promising, and we will have extensive collaborations with the relevant officials for the advancement of this plan's objectives. He added: Qom Industrial University, as a young university, has the potential to excel both academically and culturally within the country's academic community.
