The resolution of the university's board of directors regarding the conduct of final exams for the 982 semester.
Following the previous announcement from the Vice Presidency for Education and Research regarding the conduct of practical classes and final exams, and considering circular number 2/35675 dated 2020/05/28 from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the matter of conducting the exams was thoroughly examined. Ultimately, given the lack of improvement in conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its repercussions, as well as the inability to accommodate students in dormitories to prevent any possibility of disease transmission and to alleviate the concerns of the dear students' families, it has been decided that the final exams for the 98-2 semester will be conducted remotely. In this regard, the following points should be noted: 1. The start date for exams, according to the previous announcement from the education department, will be from July 7 for a duration of two weeks. New exam dates will be updated on the student educational portal. 2. The previous announcement concerning the timing of exam sessions is canceled, and the duration of each exam session will be determined at the discretion of the course instructor. 3. The basis for evaluating each course will be a combination of various methods, including assessment of students' class activities, quizzes, detailed assignments, projects, and written, multiple-choice, and oral exams. Naturally, the course instructor is free to use any or all of these methods to determine students' final grades. If a course project is defined, the submission of projects will also take place on the university's online learning management system. 4. It is essential for the esteemed instructors to hold the exam session in the university's online learning management system during the announced exam schedule, using one of the mentioned evaluation methods, so that the exam session is recorded as scheduled in the system. If a supplementary exam needs to be held using other non-presential evaluation methods, it is recommended that the timing of such assessments be coordinated with the students of the class and communicated through various channels prior to the time announced in the academic calendar. 5. To enhance the accuracy of the non-presential exam, it is advised to utilize multiple-choice questions and provide the option for random arrangement of questions in the university's online learning management system. 6. For evaluating master's degree programs, alongside the aforementioned methods, take-home exams can also be utilized. In this case, planning should be done such that the questions provide a suitable variety relative to the number of students. 7. If the course instructor determines that the methods mentioned in the above paragraph are insufficient for accurate assessment, with justification and approval from the faculty's educational council, the topic will be reviewed by the university's educational council. If approved, the timing for the in-person exam will be set and communicated to the students. 8. Practical classes related to laboratories and workshops will be conducted in person according to the previously announced program and in an intensive format. 9. For students who are unable to attend university for practical classes, the option to drop practical courses is available. 10. Regarding physical education and sports courses, if the issuance of permits for sports activities is approved by the National Anti-Corona Headquarters by September, these classes will be held intensively in September, and the schedule will be announced by the university's educational council. Otherwise, the course grade will be recorded as incomplete. 11. Due to health restrictions, dormitories and student cafeterias will not be able to provide services. During the period of conducting intensive in-person classes for practical courses, the university cafeteria will be ready to serve while adhering to health protocols. 12. Students affected by the current COVID-19 situation may request to drop the semester with justification, and upon favorable consideration by the university's educational council and if necessary by the university's special cases committee, they may drop the semester without it counting toward their total study years.
Wishing health and success in all aspects of life for all dear students
