 According to the public relations office of the university and citing the IRNA news agency, the president of Qom University of Technology noted that graduates of this university are quickly absorbed into the job market, stating: Based on statistics provided by the Ministry of Science, this year Qom University of Technology has achieved the third rank with an employment rate of 87 percent for its bachelor's degree graduates. Dr. Jalal Rezaei Noor, while attending the Islamic Republic News Agency in Qom, added in an interview with IRNA reporters: This university has also obtained the seventh rank among universities in the country, achieving an 88 percent employment rate for its master's degree graduates. He pointed out that one of the main concerns of students and their families is employment, and Qom University of Technology is pursuing a comprehensive strategy in this regard, stating: Fourth-generation universities are entrepreneurial, thus the employment status of graduates is very important for the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, which has been monitoring the employment of university graduates since 2018. He continued: This initiative aims to monitor the status of graduates from universities and educational institutions, create an efficient information system for stakeholders regarding the employment status of each university major, continuously observe local job market conditions and capacity, and identify knowledge and skill gaps among graduates while collecting data from the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare's research systems. Dr. Rezaei Noor, in another part of his remarks regarding Qom University of Technology, stated: This university began its journey in 2008 with two majors, Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering, aimed at training committed and devout students; currently, it has three faculties in the fields of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, offering 27 majors at the bachelor's and master's levels, and accommodating 2,000 students from Iran and neighboring countries with 72 faculty members. He added: There are 112 active universities in the country, and based on the new university ranking by the ISC Institute, Qom University of Technology ranks 65th, which is an improvement of 22 places compared to last year. He mentioned: However, it should be noted that factors such as university budget, facilities, the number of faculty members, and student population need to be considered; in these aspects, Qom University of Technology ranks better compared to larger universities. Dr. Rezaei Noor further stated: Furthermore, among the 25 industrial universities in the country, Qom University of Technology has achieved the 17th rank, rising three places from last year. He continued: According to the 2023 ranking announced by SCImago, Qom University of Technology has entered this global ranking system for the first time, achieving the 190th rank among public, private, and non-profit educational and research institutions under the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. The SCImago ranking system is conducted by a research group of the same name at the University of Granada in Spain and has been evaluating and ranking universities and scientific-research institutions worldwide since 2009. This international ranking assesses and ranks institutions based on the number of scientific articles available in their respective Scopus databases. He pointed out that skills are paramount in the industry, which is why Qom University of Technology focuses on skill development; this university has secured the 8th place in the country by organizing 30 specialized conferences and joint events with universities, research centers, and higher education institutions alongside industries and executive agencies in 2023. Dr. Rezaei Noor added: Qom University of Technology also achieved the 4th rank among universities, research centers, and higher education institutions in the country by conducting 311 specialized courses; the 5th rank assigned to this university in terms of the number of skill enhancement courses held among universities in the country in 2023, with 345 effective skill enhancement courses, is another milestone achievement for the institution.

He added in another part of his speech: This university continuously holds specialized meetings with various government, military, private organizations, and industries, engaging active faculty and researchers in addressing societal issues; currently, there are 14 technology companies operating at Qom University of Technology. He stated: Given that Qom University of Technology places special emphasis on the interaction between students and industries in the province, research groups focused on solving the province's issues and challenges have begun their work for nearly a year, and a research center for revitalization has been established at this university.
