According to the public relations of the university, the head of the Student Welfare Fund and his delegation visited Qom University of Technology. During this visit, Dr. Ganjii, the head of the Student Welfare Fund, stated: The holy city of Qom has very good potentials, including the geographical position of the province, which is very strategic. Qom University of Technology can effectively address the industrial problems of the region. Dr. Ganjii added: Just as medical students go to hospitals to gain practical experience, industrial students should also visit factories to become familiar with their challenges and problems and find solutions for them. Dr. Ganjii announced the provision of interest-free loans for students' trips to the holy shrines and added: Given the influential impact of visiting the Imams, initial discussions have been held at the Student Welfare Fund to establish a memorandum of understanding with several banks so that we can provide special student loans for trips to the holy shrines. Dr. Rezai Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, pointed to the significant progress of this university and added: Qom University of Technology, as a developing university with the support of officials, can further fulfill its mission. He added: Achieving the second and ninth ranks in the employability of graduates at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, ranking tenth in the organization of skills training courses in 2022, and ranking fifteenth nationally in the number of research contracts are part of the achievements of Qom University of Technology. Dr. Rezai Noor stated: Positive activities have been carried out in the student and welfare sectors, including acquiring a 5,000-square-meter land near the university for the construction of a student dormitory, establishing a supplemental cafeteria, consolidating and outsourcing student dormitories to reduce costs, and industrializing the kitchen to prepare and equip the necessary items for distributing hot meals in student dormitories, all of which have been undertaken for the welfare of students in the new academic year. Dr. Rezai Noor added: The lack of special university-owned dormitories is one of the biggest problems for students.
