The President of Qom University of Technology: The faculty and students of Qom University of Technology are partners of industry in overcoming production obstacles.

 Dr. Jalal Rezaei Nour, in an interview with the Qom News Agency, emphasized the importance of involving scientific and research elites in addressing the economic challenges of the country. He stated that if all scientific research and innovative studies could be applied and strategically utilized within the industry and production sectors, a significant portion of economic issues and difficulties would be resolved.
The President of Qom Industrial University added that many elites in the industry among professors and students are capable of designing innovative ideas and conducting groundbreaking research that can make the country independent from various technologies, taking substantial steps towards connecting industry and academia.
He reiterated that in light of sanctions, scientific and research solutions must be employed to confront the current situation, proving ourselves on the international stage and achieving self-sufficiency.
 Dr. Rezaei Nour stated that localizing research and investing in practical research projects is one of the key strategies to achieving technology and innovation in the path of industry and production.
The President of Qom Industrial University further noted that our country has reached growth and prosperity in many scientific and research areas based on existing documentation. We have much to say in the world; however, due to existing gaps between academia and industry, we have not been able to successfully leverage our scientific and technological capacities to save the domestic industry.
He remarked that the time has come to move towards reducing the existing gap between academia and industry by accurately identifying the voids, damages, and obstacles faced by production and industry, along with collaborating with industrialists and creating opportunities to showcase the capabilities of the elites.
 Dr. Rezaei Nour pointed out that developing knowledge-based businesses and producing products based on innovative ideas and designing the necessary equipment for the industry and production process are among the needs of the country, and professors and students must step out of the theoretical realm and engage with industrialists.
The President of Qom Industrial University indicated that fortunately, initiatives have been established for the participation of elites in addressing industry-related issues at universities. In this context, professors and students from this university are active partners in identifying industrial problems and overcoming production barriers.
He noted that indeed, an innovative idea has been generated from the Industry Relations Office at Qom Industrial University to facilitate connections between industry and academia. In this plan, students eager to gain industrial experience and familiarize themselves with business environments are dispatched to factories and industrial units in collaborative teams as per the requests of industrial units after completing initial training.
 Dr. Rezaei Nour added that these teams assist in managing industrial units in resolving various research and technical issues, and significant successes have been achieved in fostering effective communication between industry and academia in this initiative.
He stated that among the strategic goals of the Industry Partner Project is to empower students for the job market and to nurture entrepreneurial students.
The President of Qom Industrial University elaborated on the process of implementing the Industry Partner Project: attracting and enrolling interested students, introducing industries and organizations willing to collaborate through the Ministry of Industry, conducting joint meetings by the Industry Relations Office, and forming specialized teams of 4 to 6 members with a supervising professor are integral parts of this project.
He emphasized that additionally, as part of the Industry Partner Project, teams will be dispatched for assessments, solutions will be presented to industry managers, and decisions will be made regarding the selected solution, culminating in the execution of the solution in collaboration with industry partner teams. Certificates of participation in the Industry Partner Project will also be issued as internship credits.
 Dr. Rezaei Nour emphasized that Qom Industrial University is a member of the Production Obstacles Working Group of the provincial governor's office and actively participates in numerous initiatives geared towards resolving production and industry challenges in Qom province.
