Held on the occasion of Dormitory Week

According to the university's public relations: On the occasion of Dormitory Week, the birth of Imam Mahdi, and the Day of Resistance and Sacrifice, a celebration was held with the efforts of the Student and Cultural Affairs Office, attended by the university board, staff, and students in the Shahid Akhoundi Hall of Qom University of Technology.
At the beginning of this ceremony, Dr. Khoshnavisan congratulated everyone on the auspicious occasions and the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, sharing memories of how people fought during the eight years of sacred defense. He added: A few minutes before the liberation of Khorramshahr, we were in a meeting to plan operational strategies for the city's liberation when Mr. Mahmoud Karimi Alavijeh, with a memorable voice, proclaimed that "Khoramshahr has been freed." Years later in England, I coincidentally met Mr. Karimi, who, like us, was preparing to continue his education there, and to reminisce, we asked him to recreate that memorable phrase again: "Khoramshahr has been freed."
The president of Qom University of Technology, in part of his speech, regarded the university as a ground for growth and emphasized that living in dormitories teaches us a form of interaction, participation, and solidarity.
Continuing, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Karimzadeh, a researcher at the Specialized Center for Mahdism, addressed the rise of new spiritualities and false claimants of Mahdism, stating: The enemies of the regime attempt to weaken people’s beliefs through false propaganda and cultural assaults, and one of our tasks is to gain correct knowledge and understanding of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his return).
He stated: One of the ways to mislead people from authentic religious values is the promotion of sectarianism by the enemies, which was once an open conflict with Islam but today takes place through subtle approaches and equivalization.
This scholar from the Qom seminary remarked: New sects equivalence religious values with specific cultural packages.
He added: They do not directly compel people to retreat from religious principles but rather lead public thoughts astray through indirect methods.

Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Karimzadeh mentioned the BBC news network as one of the promoters of new sects, explaining that this news network introduces new sects to Islamic societies during its programs.
He expressed that it is essential to enhance people's media literacy in the country, adding: In European countries, before launching social media networks, they improve the media literacy of the population, whereas such efforts seem lacking in our country.
Karimzadeh declared: Today, the Western front stands against the Islamic front and aims to change the thoughts of Muslims through these sects.
He stated: Furthermore, the Western front, through substantial investment in the cultural assault arena, seeks to alter perspectives and values.
This seminary scholar asserted: They easily launch assaults on Islamic societies' thoughts by leveraging the virtual space and social networks.
The researcher and scholar from the Specialized Center for Mahdism in Qom emphasized that a correct understanding of the Imam of Time (may God hasten his return) from the perspective of the Quran and traditions is the best way to counter false claimants.
This celebration continued with humorous competitions and the sharing of memories from the liberation of Khorramshahr by Mr. Bakhshi, one of the veterans of the sacred defense period.
At the end, dormitory supervisors, winners of sports and cultural competitions, and students from Unit 3 of Imam Reza dormitory, Room 4 of Rezvan dormitory, and Room 4109 of Mofid dormitory were recognized as exemplary rooms with the presentation of certificates and awards as tokens of appreciation.
