The scientific meeting on Justice and Moderation from the perspective of Martyr Motahhari was held concurrently with the anniversary of this esteemed martyr's martyrdom, featuring a lecture by Dr. Mohammad Hadi Moftah, the esteemed son of Martyr Moftah, in the Shahid Akhoundi Conference Hall.
According to the university's public relations report: Dr. Moftah elaborated on the personality dimensions of Martyr Motahhari (RA), describing his character as moderate, resilient, committed to duty, and well-timed, viewing him as a unique role model for today’s society. He further remarked that learning from figures like Martyr Motahhari and Martyr Moftah, who felt the responsibility to save the university from deviation in Islam, is crucial. They engaged with the university at a time when it was caught between disbelief and deviation in faith, with a disconnect between the university and religious seminaries. The academia found itself at a crossroads: either they would seek religion, which often led them to deviation, or abandon religion altogether. With a sense of duty and precise awareness of the times, they entered this arena and engaged in unparalleled efforts on this path.
Dr. Moftah added: Justice must revolve around truth and moderation, avoiding entanglement in factions and parties. It has been narrated from the infallibles that what leads a person away from justice and moderation is fanaticism. In the words of the infallibles, fanaticism is to prefer the flaws of one's own group over the virtues of the opposing group, falling into the trap of partisanship, which is the antithesis of justice.
In conclusion, Dr. Moftah, while expressing gratitude to the academic community of Qom University of Technology, emphasized that striving in the fields of science and the commitment to the dignity of Islamic Iran is essential.
