According to the mission of Qom Industrial University in training specialized personnel, enhancing technical standards, and increasing productivity in the industry of Qom province, as well as the necessity of close communication with industries to understand their technical and human resource needs, the university's Industry Relations Office has taken steps to identify and visit active industries in Qom province. This initiative aims to align the university's educational activities with industry needs on one hand and, on the other hand, to make a significant contribution to the province's production leap by offering feedback and organizing specialized courses for industries.
According to the university's public relations office, in this regard, the Industry Relations and Entrepreneurship Office of the university organized a visit to Pakshoma Industrial Manufacturing Company. During this visit, Dr. Ghanbari, the Vice President for Education and Research at the university, and Dr. Rasti, the Director of Industry Relations, held a two-hour meeting with Eng. Montazeri, the Vice President of Human Resources, and Eng. Molaei, the Education Manager of the company.
In this meeting, Dr. Ghanbari initially discussed the objectives of the visit and presented examples of the university's capabilities and potentials. Offering technical knowledge through the organization of necessary training courses by experienced professors and also supplying specialized human resources from among the university's graduates in relevant fields were among the suggestions made by the university to the company.
Eng. Montazeri welcomed the university's educational proposals, stating, "This company was established in 1975 and is currently one of the top manufacturers in the home appliances industry in Iran and the Middle East, attributed to its scientific and academic approach to the industry. In fact, Pakshoma Group annually invests a significant portion of its revenues in research and development (R&D) of new products."
He added, "Currently, most of the company's managers are young university graduates who, after being hired and gaining experience through training courses, play a crucial role in the company's progress."
He also mentioned the increased diversity of production products and the upcoming production phase of air conditioners and the injection section, expressing the desire for collaboration between Qom Industrial University and this company.
Following the discussions in this meeting, preparations are underway to establish a tripartite agreement between Qom Industrial University, Pakshoma Company, and the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization. Initial agreements include the recruitment of bachelor and master's degree graduates, as well as current students from Qom Industrial University, in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, polymer engineering, industrial engineering, and computer engineering, who possess military service completion cards or exemptions.
Cooperation in scientific and research fields in the form of research projects, internal study opportunities, and postdoctoral positions for faculty members, conducting training courses, organizing scientific visits for students, and supporting student theses are among other areas of collaboration between Pakshoma Company and Qom Industrial University.
