According to the Public Relations Office of the university: A memorandum of scientific and research cooperation was signed between Qom Industrial University and the Energy Research Institute.
In a meeting attended by Dr. Bahram Khusnuisan, the President of Qom Industrial University, and Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Ghazizadeh, the President of the Energy Research Institute, the cooperation agreement was signed and exchanged.
Key activities emphasized in this memorandum include the consolidation of graduate theses, inviting faculty members to collaborate under the title of affiliated faculty, supporting postdoctoral researchers, granting research credits in new areas, conferring special titles and chairs to distinguished and experienced professors, and providing research opportunities for faculty members of the university and the research institute.

Furthermore, the Energy Research Institute, within the framework of this memorandum, prioritizes the support of faculty members' research activities through the consolidation and support of students' theses and dissertations. To this end, the topics of graduate students' theses interested in utilizing the facilities proposed in this memorandum will be planned in a way that aligns with the research priorities and projects of the institute. It is noteworthy that, to support theses and dissertations of graduate students, the secretariat for guiding and supporting research projects of the institute will provide facilities so that students and professors can use the laboratory facilities of the institute or collaborate with the institute to conduct research in established industrial units.
Other specific collaborations between the Energy Research Institute and Qom Industrial University regarding topics related to solar thermal power plants include: heliostat solar power plants, solar concentrator systems with Stirling engines, and hybrid systems with solar heat, with Qom Industrial University collaborating with the Energy Research Institute as one of the main scientific hubs in this research field.
According to this memorandum, the support of the Energy Research Institute will be in the form of creating a suitable environment for the university to benefit from the support of the electricity industry or direct support from the institute. The utilization of laboratory equipment and facilities for joint projects for each party is also among the items mentioned in this memorandum.
This memorandum consists of 7 articles and is signed in two identical copies, exchanged between the parties. The duration of this memorandum is five years from the date of signing and exchange, and it can be extended upon mutual agreement.
