According to the public relations office of the university: The first Iran Mathematical Physics Conference was held on Thursday, 95/8/13, with the presence of distinguished foreign professors and a number of faculty members, researchers, and students in this field from across the country, organized by Qom University of Technology.
At this conference, Dr. Bahram Khushnawisan, the president of Qom University of Technology, welcomed the attendees and said: "We hope that such conferences continue and persist at the national level, as this conference plays a significant role in the development of the intertwined branches of physics and mathematics on a national scale."

The president of Qom University of Technology emphasized the scientific capabilities and capacities of Qom Province in various fields, stating: "This conference is the second national and scientific conference that is held by Qom University of Technology in Qom Province, following last year's second national conference on Soil and Foundation Engineering, hosted by this university."
Dr. Khushnawisan added: "Considering Qom's proximity to the scientific hubs of the country, Isfahan and Tehran, the opportunity to host such conferences is available, and this plays an effective role in enhancing the academic level of the province."

Dr. Shahin Rouhani, the president of the Iranian Physics Society, stated: "Mathematical physics refers to the development of mathematical methods to address practical problems in physics. Mathematical physics involves the use of mathematics to solve existing problems in physics and to develop appropriate mathematical methods for such practical issues, as well as formulating physical theories. In fact, it is a branch of applied mathematics that deals with physical problems."
Continuing, the scientific secretary of the first Iran Mathematical Physics Conference noted: "180 papers were submitted to the conference secretariat, which were reviewed by the judges, and ultimately, 90 papers were selected for presentation at this conference."
Dr. Anousheh Latifi stated that due to time constraints, not all papers could be presented clearly at this conference, expressing hope that this conference, which has received a warm welcome from scholars in this field across the country, will continue in the future.
The scientific secretary of the first Iran Mathematical Physics Conference added: "Given the importance of the mathematical physics field, efforts were made to present the scientific activities of distinguished professors in this field worldwide and outstanding professors in Iran to the students and active researchers in this field."
Dr. Latifi announced that researchers from across the country presented papers at this conference, stating: "The top three papers from this conference will be published in one of the prestigious scientific journals in Germany."
He added: "On the sidelines of this conference, a pilgrimage and sightseeing tour will be organized for the participants, allowing them to visit the holy shrine of Fatemeh Masoumeh (PBUH) and attend the Jamkaran Mosque, as well as historical sites in Qom such as the Yazdan Panah house and the city carpet bazaar."

In this one-day conference, Adel Rezaei Aghdam, Naghi Behzadi, Seyed Ali Reza Ashrafi, Anousheh Latifi, and Sadiq Yari from Iranian institutions presented their papers in English, along with Professor Francesco Calogero from the University of Rome, Italy, and Dr. Antonino D'Agaris from France.
