According to the annual report of the Vice Presidency for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Qom Industrial University achieved national ranking 13 in the skills enhancement courses held in 2021 among universities, research institutes, and higher education centers in the country.
Despite the outbreak of the coronavirus over the past two years, with the efforts of student scientific associations and the Industry Relations Office, the implementation of skills enhancement courses at Qom Industrial University has been on a positive trajectory. Last year, 98 skills enhancement courses were held, of which 90 were conducted virtually.
Furthermore, in line with training effective and efficient skilled personnel, the organization of these courses has been carried out in accordance with the needs of the labor market through appropriate interactions between the university and industry.
To make the skills enhancement courses even more effective, the Office of Industry and Entrepreneurship Relations at Qom Industrial University has developed an internship implementation plan with several industries in the province, creating opportunities for students to be employed while studying, along with necessary training provided by industries. With the approval of the university's education council, this office has offered standard 24-hour engineering courses free of charge to familiarize students with the standards related to their field, specifically for applicants for summer 2021 internships.
