Technical Affairs and Construction Projects Department:
The Construction Projects and Technical Affairs Department of the university is responsible for overseeing and executing the construction of spaces needed and managing technical matters, maintenance, and repairs of various university buildings according to different functions and in alignment with the university’s development plans.
This unit continuously works towards achieving the aforementioned goals, realizing the university's construction development, and enhancing the utilization of existing spaces by undertaking the following activities:
Planning and studying to ensure the physical spaces of the university for a comprehensive development of educational, research, service, and welfare facilities and acting to secure the required construction budgets and arrange the corresponding agreements.
Holding tenders and signing contracts with consulting and contracting companies for construction projects.
Supervising the proper implementation of the university's construction projects in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Reviewing the statements and performance of contractors and consultants and various financial matters related to construction projects.
Collecting and completing the information needed for construction projects.
Planning and supplying the necessary materials and equipment for construction projects.
Preparing a comprehensive plan for the university and securing land and facilities while considering the higher education development program.
Proposing budgets for the university's construction projects for approval in the annual national budget.
Preparing and reviewing the blueprints for the university's construction projects.
Anticipating and planning for the technical installations required for university buildings and reviewing proposals from consulting engineers and contractors in this area, providing necessary guidance.
Managing all affairs related to the maintenance of the buildings and facilities of the university after handover, including monitoring and caring for structures and facilities, and providing advice to university staff on maintaining university buildings and facilities more effectively.
Coordinating the necessary repairs, including reviewing and selecting consultants and contractors, technical supervision over all executive matters, and addressing financial statements related to executive operations.
