In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The nineteenth of Dey is a reminder of the eternal epic that inscribed another chapter in the golden book of the Islamic Revolution. The 19th of Dey marks the anniversary of the bloody uprising of the people of Qom; it was on this day that one can truly say it ignited the spark of revolution and shaped the course of the revolution in such a way that the scroll of oppression, tyranny, and the 2500-year reign of the monarchy wove itself together in a short period of time.
The uprising of the 19th of Dey was the cry of the people against injustice, oppression, and the tyranny of the Shah, which, under the leadership of the clergy, particularly Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), turned into a historical event and a lesson for other countries. After it, with the shedding of the blood of thousands of young martyrs, exile, torture, and... it brought forth the fruits of independence, freedom, and the Islamic Republic.
I, while commemorating the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, especially the martyrs of the 19th of Dey, hope that the university youth of our beloved country, relying on Almighty God, following the teachings of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be exalted), and also nurturing the spirit of self-belief through scientific jihad and preserving the values of the Islamic Revolution amidst all threats and sanctions of the enemies, will script the glory of Islamic Iran.
