According to the Public Relations of the University: The second graduation ceremony for students of Qom University of Technology was held on Thursday, 30/11/1393, in the amphitheater hall, attended by the board of directors, professors, and 78 students from the fields of civil engineering, mechanics, electrical engineering, industry, and computer science along with their families, organized by the cultural management.
At the beginning of this ceremony, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Omidiyan referred to a saying of the Prophet Muhammad who stated: "In the land of Persia, there are people who seek knowledge even if it is in the stars." He added: "Today, the scientists of this land are raising the glorious flag of our country in various areas including nanotechnology, stem cells, and more, thereby putting into practice the saying of the Prophet Muhammad."
Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Akhoundzadeh, the provincial assistant of the Office of the Supreme Leader at Qom University of Technology, while referring to the happiness of the parents, stated: "Parents, due to the heavy responsibility of raising their children, are happier today than their children because your graduation indicates that they have succeeded in raising you."
Also, Dr. Khoshnavisan, the Vice President for Education and Research of the university, noted the strengths and weaknesses of the university and said: "Considering that Qom University of Technology is a developing university, I have rejoined the family of Qom University of Technology after several years, I apologize for all the shortcomings."
Dr. Akhoundi, the founder and director of the university, mentioned the establishment of the university and stated: "The speed of scientific progress presents a threat for technical and engineering fields because today we are living on the edge of knowledge, and this way of life leads to the elimination of some fields and the creation of new ones. Therefore, we must consider future studies from now on."
He considered the students and professors of this university, most of whom come from reputable universities in Iran, as the university's assets and added: "By referring to important actions such as a 100% increase in the university's budget and securing a funding line for the construction of the new university building, I hope that in the not-so-distant future, with your presence at Qom University of Technology as professors, we will witness the excellence of this university."
At the end, after presenting certificates and awards to the top students of each field, the ceremony for reciting the oath and taking commemorative photographs was held.
Hosting competitions, religious vocal performances, and inviting student couples were among the other programs of this celebration.
