Ayatollah Gharami (May his shadow be exalted): The Qom Industrial University has a very grave responsibility, because your work, gentlemen, is the development of the country and, in a way, the provision of welfare for the Shia generation.
The Board of Directors, several faculty members, and employees of Qom Industrial University met with Ayatollah Gharami (May his shadow be exalted) on Saturday, 17/3/93 in his office.
At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Moshkhooh Al-Sadat, the President of Qom Industrial University, considered the training of specialized, committed, and loyal forces as one of the university's greatest objectives. He added that the holy city of Qom, in addition to being the capital of religious and Islamic sciences in the world, has made countless industrial advancements as well; the existence of factories and industrial towns in this city attests to this claim. With these conditions, Qom Industrial University can play a significant role in the growth of industry in the province.
Since 1387, Qom Industrial University has strengthened its scientific and research foundations for training specialized, committed, and loyal forces by attracting 53 faculty members, establishing 38 laboratories and workshops, and signing several memoranda of understanding with various industrial sectors in the province and different research centers. Furthermore, the interest of professors from various provinces in collaborating with this university and in this holy city has been very remarkable. I hope that with the guidance of the Supreme Leader and you esteemed scholars, as well as the blessings of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his reappearance) and Hazrat Masoumeh (peace be upon her), we can take a step forward in the advancement of our dear Iran.
Ayatollah Gharami, while expressing his pleasure regarding this meeting, added: It is stated in the verses and narrations that whoever strives for the development of his family will earn great rewards. In this regard, Qom Industrial University has a very grave responsibility, because you gentlemen are responsible for the development of the country and, in a way, the provision of welfare for the Shia generation. Therefore, your work will also have great rewards. Of course, this university has made good progress based on its papers and inner-university performance, and it is hoped that it will attain a higher position day by day.
The esteemed reference of the Shia world, Ayatollah Gharami (May his shadow be exalted), pointed out: The enemy's goal is to eliminate the Shia and Shiism. Today, America and Europe have surpassed us in industrial matters, but based on the verses and narrations that mention men from Fars will rise, pursue knowledge, and even if knowledge is in the heavens, they will find it; we too can find our rightful place.
You, the university scholars, have a long path ahead. The path of knowledge is very honorable, and the efforts you dear ones make on this path are commendable, and I hope that your progress increases day by day.
