According to the Public Relations of the University; Dr. Haidari, the Educational and Research Deputy of Qom Industrial University, stated that the process of shifting education from in-person to online continues to be in progress. He outlined the actions taken in that department as follows:
1. Continuation of the educational and research activities of the university based on the policies communicated by the esteemed Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, considering all preventive measures to minimize disruption to the university's educational and research schedule.
2. Conducting university classes online: As of March 10, 2020, it has become possible to hold the university's educational classes virtually. The link for entering the virtual classes has been posted on the university's website, and students can enter the virtual class based on their course scheduling through the respective link.
3. Planning for remedial classes for courses for which remote instruction is not feasible for any reason at the beginning of the upcoming year and the continuation of the academic semester.
4. The electronic nature of all educational processes at the university: It is possible to carry out all student educational processes and requests electronically through the portal, and students are strongly advised to refrain from in-person visits for request registration, considering the outbreak of the Corona virus.
5. Strong recommendation to the experts and managers in the educational and research department to respond maximally and quickly to the calls and emails of professors and students to manage their affairs and also to plan for minimal presence of experts to maintain their health.
6. Cancellation of all in-person meetings to ensure the health of members.
7. Holding the faculty promotion committee meeting online with the participation of all members.
8. Conducting the online laboratory council meeting for purchasing and utilizing funds according to Clause 4 of the budget law to support Shoa.
9. Preparing the necessary arrangements for conducting the online and video-conferencing session of the Education and Research Council if necessary.
10. Disinfecting the environment of the university's central library.
11. Strong recommendation to the education and research department experts to use masks and gloves in the workplace.
12. Enabling submission of research-related requests from professors and students online with arrangements made with the relevant experts and managers.
In conclusion, Dr. Haidari added that interaction between professors and students is maintained through online classes and expressed hope that students would make the most of the conditions provided.
