Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
 
 The Student Affairs Office of the university is one of the most important and active areas at the university level, implementing the university's policies and guidelines regarding student welfare services.
 
Responsibilities of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
 
 1- Implementing the policies and guidelines of the Board of Trustees and the university council in the area of student affairs.
2- Supervising and controlling the activities of the centers and managements under supervision.
3- Formulating and coordinating matters related to the student disciplinary committee and participating in relevant meetings (committee chair).
4- Formulating and coordinating matters related to the student appeal disciplinary committee and participating in relevant meetings (committee secretary).
5- Formulating and coordinating matters related to the university's special cases commission and the provincial special cases commission, and participating in relevant meetings (commission secretary).
6- Supervising, controlling, and following up on decisions related to relevant committees and commissions.
7- Aligning the activities of the centers and managements in the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs with the policies of the university, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the government.
8- Supervising and controlling the activities of accounting matters in the area of student affairs.
9- Special monitoring and control over student services offices, welfare fund, dormitories, nutrition, extracurricular activities, sports, health services, and student counseling.
10- Guiding ongoing actions and creating coordination and planning, as well as task distribution among the activities of the subordinate units.
11- Studying and making decisions regarding student issues raised.
12- Preparing and proposing various student bylaws and overseeing their proper implementation.
13- Performing other tasks assigned by the university president.
 
Key Activities of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
  • Coordinating and supervising the proper execution of the duties of subordinate units and providing necessary guidance
  • Studying and making decisions regarding student issues and problems
  • Anticipating the service and welfare needs of students, determining priorities, and presenting them for consideration
  • Overseeing and controlling the implementation of various student regulations (dormitories, nutrition, loans, etc.), cultural and extracurricular activities, health services, counseling, and physical education
  • Directing and overseeing the activities of the student disciplinary committee
  • Implementing the proposed programs of the Student Affairs Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
  • Creating the necessary environment for the establishment and activities of the student council, scientific and cultural associations based on relevant regulations
  • Encouraging and motivating students to participate in sports activities and planning the execution of mass sports at the university, dormitories, and supporting student championship sports
  • Supporting and following up on the issues faced by financially struggling students
  • Providing health and psychological services and counseling for students and creating effective communication channels with the students' families
  • Selecting and introducing a model student at the national level
