Attracting International Students

Today, the transfer of knowledge and experience from one generation to the next has transcended national borders, making cultural and scientific international communications an essential and unavoidable necessity for advancing the goals and overarching policies of societies. Qom Industrial University, in its efforts to elevate the name of the "Islamic Republic of Iran" on the international stage, strives to promote Islamic and revolutionary values by attracting, accepting, and guiding non-Iranian students. Therefore, it is crucial that the consular affairs of non-Iranian students are organized and facilitated effectively.

In the context of globalization of economy, culture, and technology, attracting foreign students leads to active participation in the global production of knowledge and the exchange of educational and research information, as well as enhancing the knowledge level of university faculty members internationally and enriching the educational process. In higher education systems, engineering education holds a special place, as its mission is to prepare human resources that are both specialized and committed, and to produce sciences and technologies that should be solution-oriented and problem-solving. In today's world, which is facing serious crises, the role of engineering education becomes increasingly important. The outcomes of this education must possess such quality and capability that they can provide the knowledge, skills, and technologies necessary to confront these challenges and create the foundations for sustainable development of societies. It is evident that many of these challenges are global and lack local solutions; therefore, there is a need for individuals with capabilities and competencies on a global scale. Hence, the necessity of internationalizing higher education, as mentioned, holds even greater significance in engineering education.
