Biography of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA), the Noble One of the Ahl al-Bayt
Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh (SA) was born on the first of Dhul-Qi’dah in the year 173 AH in Medina. Her noble father is Imam Musa Kazim (AS) and her esteemed mother is Hazrat Najmah Khatoon. In the year 201 AH, following the forced relocation of Imam Reza (AS) to Khorasan, Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) left Medina for Khorasan after enduring a year of separation from her esteemed brother. Since Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh (SA) was the messenger of the culture and teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and a defender of the oppression of the Shia Imams, as well as continuing her noble father's struggle against the tyrants of the time, the Abbasid government attacked her caravan in the city of Saveh and martyred her companions.
After entering the city of Saveh, Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh (SA) fell ill due to her deep sorrow and stated: Take me to the city of Qom; for I heard from my father that he said: The city of Qom is the center of our Shia. Therefore, on the 23rd of Rabī' al-Awwal in the year 201 AH, she traveled to Qom and was warmly welcomed by many eager and devout followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). After residing for 17 days at the home of "Musa ibn Khazraj," which became known as "Bayt al-Noor," she passed away on the 10th of Rabī' and was buried in "Bagh-e Babalan," the current site of her shrine.
