According to the resolutions of meetings 608 and 623 dated July 9, 2007 and April 29, 2008 of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and the twenty-fourth meeting dated September 26, 2008 of the High Council for the Recruitment of Faculty Members, universities and higher education institutions established the recruitment executive committee within each institution to select qualified faculty members from among the applicants and also to change the employment status and create uniformity in the recruitment practices for faculty members..
Responsibilities of the Recruitment Executive Committee
According to the resolutions of meetings 608 and 623 dated July 9, 2007 and April 29, 2008 of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and the twenty-fourth session dated September 26, 2008 of the High Council for the Recruitment of faculty members in universities and higher education institutions, the responsibilities of the Recruitment Executive Committee are as follows::
1- Identifying and determining the recruitment needs of faculty members in educational and research groups.
2- Conducting a public call for recruiting faculty members of the institution.
3- Deciding on the methods and procedures for hiring faculty members, including contractual, project-based, probationary official, permanent official, military service proposal, and transfer of faculty members within the framework of relevant regulations and statutes.
4- Providing opinions regarding the hiring of faculty members who apply for employment and applicants for educational degree based on their academic qualifications and general suitability.
Contractual Recruitment
The call for recruiting faculty members will be held annually through the website of the Recruitment Center of the Ministry of Science in a centralized manner..
The timeline for the recruitment stages is as follows::
- Initial review of applicants in the screening working group.
-Inviting qualified applicants for scientific and general interviews.
-Sending the results of the general and scientific qualification review of applicants to the Recruitment Executive Committee of the university.
-Making decisions in the Recruitment Executive Committee.
-Sending the files of selected applicants to the Central Recruitment Committee of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
Composition of the Scientific Ability Review Working Group is as follows:
· Dean of the Faculty.
· Head of the Academic Group.
· At least two faculty members at the rank of associate professor in the relevant field and area of the applicant.
· Representative of the Recruitment Executive Committee in the Faculty or one member of the Recruitment Executive Committee.
Converting Status to Probationary Official
· Submitting the printed tables related to status conversion along with documentation in CD format to the Recruitment Secretariat.
· Initial review of the file and beginning the process in case of no defects..

· Reviewing the file in the Cultural Commission and Scientific Ability Working Group.
· Public competency interview.
· Submitting the file to the Recruitment Executive Committee of the university.
· Sending it to the Central Recruitment Committee for faculty members.
· Issuing certification.

Handling Complaints
- The Recruitment Executive Committee is the primary authority for addressing the qualifications of applicants for recruitment and status conversion, etc.
- The deadline for appealing the results of the Executive and Central Recruitment Committees is 20 days from the date of notification.
- Applicants who do not qualify academically and generally for status conversion or optimal selection for recruitment in the review of the Executive Committee may submit a written or electronic appeal against the issued ruling within the specified timeframe and request a reconsideration.
