    **Are the scientific and research points for each stage of status change independent of the other stage?**

    According to approval 377 of the High Recruitment Board, status change in each stage is independent of the other stage, and the scientific and research points for each stage relate to the faculty member's activity during the time period of that same stage. Therefore, individuals who intend to change status from Tentative-Tenure to Permanent-Tenure through the points tables must have the scientific and research activities presented for this stage of status change occur after the date of approval of their status change from Probationary to Tentative-Tenure in the University's Executive Board (whether through promotion or through points tables). It should be noted that the request for status change from Tentative-Tenure to Permanent-Tenure for individuals whose status change confirmation to Tentative-Tenure in the University's Executive Board is after the date 1401/07/01 (December 23, 2022) will be carried out in accordance with this approval.

    **What is the minimum duration for remaining in each academic rank?**
    - The minimum period of full-time and continuous employment for faculty members to be promoted to any of the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor is 4 years.
    - The following cases are not countable in the minimum full-time employment period of a faculty member for promotion to a higher rank:
        - Compulsory military service period.
        - Unpaid leave period.
        - Period of mission that leads to the interruption of the faculty member's educational or research activities at the university or the mission location.

    **How are the conditions for transfers of faculty members at each employment stage?**
    - Transfer of permanent-tenure faculty members is carried out with the agreement of the heads of the origin and destination institutions.
    - Transfer of tentative-tenure faculty members can be carried out with the approval of the institution's Executive Board for Recruitment, confirmation of the heads of the origin and destination institutions, and the agreement of the Minister.
    - Transfer requests of applicants can be reviewed through the Mehr-e Razavi System.

    **What are the conditions for reducing the duration for rank promotion?**
    - The minimum employment duration for promotion to any of the higher ranks, in case of fulfilling one of the following conditions, subject to obtaining the minimum score of clause 2-1 (5 points), is reduced by a maximum of one year (only once during the service period):
        - Obtaining the title of National Distinguished Faculty Member.
        - Publishing an article as the first or corresponding author in Science or Nature journals.
        - Entering the list of the top one percent of the world's scientists in the ESI database.
        - Obtaining at least 50% of the minimum essential scores from Article 3 of the "Bylaw".
