Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

The Dean is the highest academic and executive authority within the Faculty, responsible for the leadership, planning, and supervision of all educational, research, cultural, and administrative activities. By fostering effective collaboration among faculty members, administrative staff, and students, the Dean works to enhance the quality of education and research while advancing the University's strategic objectives.

The position is currently held by Dr. Mehdi Mohseni, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities of the Dean

1. Foster an organized and disciplined working environment while promoting effective collaboration among students, faculty members, and administrative staff throughout the Faculty.

2. Communicate all resolutions, regulations, policies, and directives issued by the President of the University to the heads of academic departments.

3. Supervise the proper implementation of the resolutions and policies communicated by the President of the University.

4. Coordinate the Faculty's educational, research, administrative, financial, cultural, and social affairs.

5. Monitor and evaluate the performance of faculty members in fulfilling their educational, research, cultural, and social responsibilities.

6. Prepare and propose the Faculty's annual budget.

7. Evaluate the Faculty's annual performance and submit a comprehensive report to the President of the University.

8. Review the qualifications of deputy department heads and provide recommendations regarding their appointments.

9. Perform any other duties assigned by the University's senior authorities.
