The Central Laboratory of Qom University of Technology was established in 2016 with the aim of consolidating advanced laboratory facilities and scientific instrumentation required for education, research, and technological development. The laboratory was founded to optimize the utilization of existing resources, prevent unnecessary duplication of equipment purchases, facilitate long-term data accessibility, promote collaboration among researchers, encourage knowledge sharing, and ensure equitable access to laboratory facilities for faculty members, researchers, students, and external users.
The Central Laboratory serves as a multidisciplinary research infrastructure equipped with a wide range of advanced analytical and testing instruments for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of materials. It provides specialized laboratory services to faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, research institutes, universities, and industrial organizations throughout Iran. The laboratory is currently a member of the Iranian National Laboratory Network, enabling broader scientific collaboration and standardized laboratory services. Members of the university community benefit from discounted service fees, while detailed information regarding available services, equipment, and service charges is provided through the laboratory website.
The Central Laboratory is committed to supporting excellence in education, scientific research, innovation, and industrial collaboration by providing reliable laboratory infrastructure, high-quality analytical services, and professional technical support. The laboratory strives to promote efficient resource sharing, improve research productivity, and strengthen the university's research capabilities in accordance with national and international standards.
The Central Laboratory is responsible for coordinating and supervising laboratory and workshop activities across the university. Its services support a substantial portion of the practical and laboratory education offered by the engineering and technology programs while providing research facilities for academic and industrial users.
Major responsibilities include:
Qom University of Technology operates more than 20 dedicated laboratory spaces and over 50 educational and research laboratories and engineering workshops distributed across its academic departments in addition to the Central Laboratory complex. Together, these facilities provide comprehensive laboratory services to faculty members, students, researchers, industrial partners, and other members of the scientific community.
