Call for National Mourning ceremony for the Sanctuary of Fatemi

Socio-cultural Management of Qom University of Technology, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Leader's Representative Office at the University, and the  Crimea Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon her), intends to hold a National Mourning ceremony for the Sanctuary of Fatemi to honor the religious rituals and to utilize the capacity of the presence of the holy shrine of Lady Fatemi Masumeh in Islamic Iran and the holy city of Qom. This event aims to provide a comprehensive and religious approach in literary, artistic, and media sections to familiarize and engage university students in the mourning of Hazrat Fateme Masumeh (peace be upon her) and to strengthen the spirit of hope and supplication to the Prophet's family and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) during the pandemic.

Target Audience:

·         All members of the academic community (faculty, students, and staff).

·         The secretariat of the ceremony  is located at the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of Qom University of Technology. The various sections of the ceremony, focused on the life, virtues, and attributes of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) and Crimea Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon her), are as follows:

a)      Competition Sections

·         Literary Section

·         Short Story

Requirements:

It is expected that submitted short stories will be between 1,000 and 5,000 words in length.

·         Poetry

Requirements:

-Poets are free to choose any poetic form.

-A maximum of 5 poems may be submitted by each poet.

•   Art Section
•  Painting

Requirements:

-The minimum dimension of each artwork should be 50 centimeters and the maximum dimension should be 150 centimeters.

·         Calligraphy

Requirements:

-All calligraphers are free to choose the type of script and any desired embellishments (illumination)

3. Digital Media Section

·         Photography:

·         The winning photographs from the ceremony will be displayed in a photo exhibition and will also be published on the university website.

Requirements:

• The ceremony is competitive and will be judged.
• Photos will be selected by a jury in two stages, for the ceremony, exhibition, and online platform.
• All photographers are free to participate with any type of photo.
• Your submitted photo will represent your photography for the year on the website.
• Submitted photos must be 1500 pixels in size.
• Photos will be printed at 20x30 cm for the exhibition.
• Photos will be displayed on the website at 800x600 pixels.
• No logos or watermarks will be added to the photos on the website.
• The photographer is responsible for the color editing and retouching of their photos.
• Once a photo is submitted to the ceremony website, it cannot be edited or replaced.
• Each photographer may submit a maximum of 3 photos.
• After the exhibitions, photos will be published on the website

-Podcast

Requirements:

• The duration of each podcast should be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.
• The podcast format can be one of the following types: literary, interview, storytelling, poetry reading, or narration.
• Research
• Article

b) Judging

The submitted works to the ceremony secretariat will be judged in two rounds. The first round is to select works for a physical exhibition at the shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (peace be upon her), if possible, as well as a virtual exhibition and publication on the website of Qom University of Technology. The second round of judging is to select the winners of each section and award prizes.

Submission of Works

All interested individuals must visit the official website of Qom University of Technology at www.qut.ac.ir and fill out the registration form designed for the ceremony. Digital and literary works, if they can be uploaded to the system, should be uploaded. Alternatively, images of the work or the original work can be sent to the following postal address: Qom - Shahid Khodakaram Boulevard - Qom University of Technology, P.O. Box: 37195-1519.

Requirements for the  article

Submitted articles must adhere to the following guidelines while maintaining ethical principles in writing and development.

• Articles must be the result of the authors’ own research and studies.
• Articles must not have been previously published elsewhere.
• Articles must not be plagiarized or based on the research results of others.
• References in the articles must be complete.
• Authors are solely responsible for adhering to the aforementioned ethical guidelines.
• All professors, students, staff, and faculty from public universities, non-profit educational institutions, medical sciences universities, comprehensive applied universities, Payame Noor University, technical and vocational universities, and Azad Islamic University can participate in the ceremony. (Submission of a copy of a student ID, employee ID, or faculty ID along with the article is mandatory.)
• To save time, both the abstract and the full article will be received simultaneously.

Please pay close attention to the following points before submitting your article:

• Submit your article in both Word and PDF formats, compressed in a ZIP file.
• The main article file should include the title, author information, email address, abstract, introduction, main body, conclusion, and references. Please submit this file through the designated communication channels.
• Each article must have an abstract of 70-100 words, written in a single paragraph with 30 mm right margins and 20 mm left margins. This section should independently state the article's topic, objectives, research methodology, and findings, but it is not considered an introduction.
• Keywords: Maximum of 5 keywords, separated by commas. (B Zar 9pt Bold)
• Each article should be a maximum of 8 pages with 1.5 line spacing
