Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering Faculty

Telecommunication engineering is a sub major of Electronics engineering which is mainly responsible for receiving and processing information in the form of image, voice, etc. This major was created about 150 years ago right around the time when telegraph and telephone were invented. However, the modern telecommunication engineering appeared after presenting the theory of information and telecommunication channel capacity. Since then, general and digital telecommunication have been progressing rapidly to influence almost all aspects of human life. Radio, television, satellite and internet telecommunication are being used for various purposes now. Telecommunication has been divided into two main categories: system and field. System telecommunication mainly deals with systematic analysis of various telecommunication blocks whereas field telecommunication leans more towards wave distribution and making high frequency telecommunication tools. These tools include antennas, microwave systems, RF telecommunication circuits and electromagnetic compatibility. On the other hand, voice and image processors, satellite telecommunication, wireless telecommunication, radar systems and electronic warfare are mainly worked on in system telecommunication.
  • Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering Faculty of Qom University of Technology is currently accepting undergraduate and graduate students in system, Field and Wave as well as Integrated Electronic Circuits telecommunication engineering.
